Celebrate National Library Week!

NLW

National Library Week is an annual celebration of the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians. All types of libraries - school, public, academic and special - participate.

COM Library will be hosting events all week during National Library week. See more information about each event:

  • April 13-18 COM Library will have special displays, so stop by and see all the library has to offer you! All visitors will have the chance to participate in our interactive displays (and get free candy, too!).

  • Help us create a banner by sharing what your favorite thing to do in COM Library is!  The banner will be a great way to get a snapshot of COM and for you to share your experiences on campus with other students.

  • Is there a book that you love? The library staff will display some of their favorite books. Come share your favorites with us!

  • Access free databases for National Library Week!

  • So you don’t think libraries only mean hard work, come into the Library Tuesday morning from 8-10 for Breakfast with Books! Enjoy a complimentary kolache and a bottle of juice or water. You can stay to read a book, do a puzzle, or play a game!

  • Take part in our Photo Contest!!!   Take a picture of yourself or your friends in COM Library reading a book, browsing the shelves, studying, or come up with your own creative idea! You can be silly, serious, or artistic!  The winner will receive a     Kindle Fire HD6!!   Open to current COM Students only.  Submit one photo via email to jmaris@com.edu from now till April 15th with your name and contact information.  Photos will be on display in the Library April 13-18, judged by library staff, and the winner will be notified Monday, April 20th!
