Celebrate National Library Week!

NLWNational Library Week is an annual celebration of the contributions of our nation's libraries and librarians. All types of libraries - school, public, academic and special - participate.

COM Library will be hosting events all week during National Library week. See more information about each event:

  • April 14-18 COM Library will have special events and displays, so stop by every day and see all the library has to offer you! All visitors will have the chance to participate in our interactive displays (and get free candy, too!).
  • Help us create a banner by sharing why you came to the library. The banner will be a great way to get a snapshot of COM and for you to share your experiences on campus with other students.
  • Is there a book that you love? The library staff will display some of their favorite books. Come share your favorites with us!
  • Access free databases for National Library Week!
  • So you don’t think libraries only mean hard work, Pop Into the Library on Wednesday afternoon for complimentary popcorn and soda. You can stay and do a puzzle or  play a game!
  • Be sure to attend one of our demonstrations on Thursday, the 17th (times TBA) in the Library Computer Lab. A librarian will show you all the great online resources that are available to students for FREE! Students who attend one of the workshops will have the opportunity to enter a drawing for a $25 iTunes gift card. Five will be awarded during the drawing on Friday the 18th.
