How to Use ProQuest

ProQuest Community One databases have made Artificial Intelligence (AI) features available to all users. Currently, all AI features in ProQuest Community One databases fall under Research Assistant.

Research Assistant is designed as a research companion for students with the aim of making reaserch easier for students while ensuring that  sources are reliable and appropriate. Watch a demo. 

Research Assistant AI features allow users to:

• Easily craft more effective and targeted searches
• More effectively review, analyze, and interrogate documents
• Quickly evaluate the usefulness of each document for your research
• Receive guidance on next steps including choosing a research topic

Once you've searched, Research Assistant offers terms that may help you get better results. You can apply by tapping/clicking on terms you think are a good fit. You can also use the arrow on the left to see more terms. 

Research Assistant  currently had 3 main features while viewing an article:

• Key Takeaway Feature
   Research Assistant will automatically summarize the article for you. 
• Brainstorm Feature
  Select brainstorm if the article you'd like more articles like the one you are viewing. Brainstorm will then show you the best terms to use in additional searches for more articles. 
• Describe Feature
  Describe identifies and defines the important concepts in the article
