The legends and myths surrounding the early life and career of Bob Dylan are so ingrained in the fabric of rock music's history that getting to the truth is no easy feat. Tracing his career up to the point of his 1966 motorcycle accident and subsequent disappearance from the spotlight, this video uncovers a side of Dylan never revealed before. His early focus on rock and roll gave way to an interest in American folk music; in 1985, Dylan explained the attraction that folk music had exerted on him: “The thing about rock and roll is that for me anyway it wasn't enough ... when I got into folk music, it was more of a serious type of thing.” This film was made in association with Dylan fanzine Isis, and includes interviews, rare footage, rare photographs from private archives, and much more. Dylan fans will not be disappointed!
