Once you have an assignment choosing a topic is the first basic step in the research process, but sometimes you can get stumped about what topic to choose. If you're having a hard time coming up with a topic, you can actually get ideas from the databases on this page. Plus you'll already have sources available right from the database!
Go to COM Library's History Databases
Go to Topic Centers to browse topics by era, or go to Topics A-Z under Browse Resources to see all topics.
Get ideas from the home page or go to the Browse Topics page. Access from the dark grey toolbar below the World History banner. Once you've selected a topic, you'll find a variety of sources on your topic, including videos, images, news, academic journal articles, statistics, expert picks and viewpoints.
