Ginger and Ganesh: Adventures in Indian Cooking, Culture, and Love by Nani Power. One day Power puts an ad on Craig's List asking for someone to teach her about Indian food and culture. Surprisingly people respond and she is welcomed into strangers' homes as they teach her how to cook delicious meals. During these cooking lessons she gets to know these women and they exchange stories of their cultures and how food is an essential element of their culture.
