It's True! Google Scholar searches across many scholarly disciplines and sources: articles, theses, books, abstracts and court opinions, academic publishers, professional societies, online repositories, and universities with non scholarly results filtered out. Some of the sources are free and other require payment. Google Scholar even provides citations in MLA, APA, Chicago, Harvard or Vancouver formats.
Since Google Scholar does sometimes point you to resources for which you have to pay to get the full text, we've set up Google scholar to recognize when the ful text is available for free from one of our databases. All you have to do is use the Google Scholar for COM link so you can see when the articles are in our databases..You can find that link on the How to Use Google Scholar page or A-Z Databases: Google.
Go to How to Use Google Scholar for more details.See all our Google guides.
