Election Day is Coming Up! How to Vote

Get election information, voting guides, sample ballots, Galveston & Harris County polling places, times and more before you go vote on November 4th, 2025.

Register by October 6th

To be registered in time for any Texas election, your voter registration application must be received or postmarked at least 30 days before Election Day. This year that means that the deadline to register is Monday, October 6th. 

Pick up a voter registration application at your local public library, any government office, or fill one out online. Mail your completed application to the Voter Registrar in your county. Galveston County or Harris County voter registration contact information.

• The Galveston County Voter Registration office
• Public libraries
• Most U.S. post offices
• High schools
• The Texas Secretary of State website, where you can fill out an application to print and mail
