How to Use JSTOR Workspace

Learn how to use JSTOR Workspace to save, organize and share content.

Get Started

When you register for a free personal JSTOR account, you'll get access to your own personal Workspace. Once you have your peropsnal account, you can : 

  • Save what you find on JSTOR, including articles, book chapters, images, and primary source materials to revisit anytime
  • Organize your research with folders
  • Add notes to items you've saved
  • Export your research as reference lists or presentations
  • Present your research in full screen mode
  • Share folders with other members of your institution

Viewing Your Workspace

Once you have logged into your personal account, you can view your workspace:

  • Select Workspace in the main navigation at the top of the page.
  • Or hover over the Tools menu in the main navigation at the top of the page, and select Workspace in the drop-down menu.
  • Or select the Workspace link in the notification pop-up that appears after after you save an item.
