Folklore refers to the traditional beliefs, customs, stories, songs, and practices of a community, passed down through generations by word of mouth. It encompasses a wide range of cultural expressions, including myths, legends, urban legends, conspiracy theories, superstition, fairy tales, proverbs, jokes, foodways, folk art and folk music. Folklore often reflects the values, history, and identity of a community, providing insight into their way of life and worldview.
