Check out calculators at the Circulation Desk.

Calculators for Home Use

Calculators can be checked out for the semester by currently enrolled COM students pursuing degrees or certificates who do not have any holds, fines or overdue items.

Good to Know

  • Calculators are to be returned 2 days before the end of the semester. 
  • Calculators not returned on time incur fines and holds on your account, or replacement cost of $150 if not returned. 
  • If the calculator is stolen while you have it checked out, you must notify library staff at the Circulation Desk immediately and file a theft report with the COM Campus Police.  
  • Follow the COM Acceptable Use Policy (PDF).

To Checkout a Calculator

  1. QuestionGo to the library Circulation Desk.
  2. Present your COM ID at time of checkout.
  3. Read and sign the calculator agreement (for graphing calculators only).
  4. Take your calculator home!

Fees for Loss or Damage

feesGraphing calculators not returned on time, returned damaged, or not in good condition incur fees and holds on your account

  • For TI-84 and TI-84 Plus CE:  replacement due to loss, theft or damage (including failure to return the calculator): $150.
  • Damage includes, but is not limited to:  cracked screen and liquid or other physical damage that renders the calculator inoperable.
  • For TI-84 Plus CE:  replacement of charger due to loss, theft or damage: $12.
