Alice Munro is a Canadian writer best known for her short stories. Munro has been hailed as one of the greatest contemporary writers of fiction. Her works often explore human complexities, focusing on the lives of women and the subtleties of rural and small-town life in Canada.
Munro has received many, including the Nobel Prize in Literature in 2013. Her work has also been recognized with the Man Booker International Prize, the Giller Prize, and multiple Governor General's Awards.
